WHAT TO SEE AND DO

Cider Making During a Fall Fundraiser.

Although we are located in the heart of farm country, you can find enjoyable nearby attractions such as - a state park, a unique bookstore, garden art manufacturer, naturally raised produce and meats, etc.

If you feel like staying put, here are a few things you might do at the Greenhouse Bed and Breakfast:

	Take a nap in the hammock.
	Read a book.
	Tour the gardens and orchard.
	Play with our dogs.
	Stargaze.
	Enjoy a sunrise or sunset.
	Meditate on a bench by the lily pond .

	Listen to the night sounds.
	Smell the flowers
	Roast marshmallows at the fire pit.
	Have a massage from a local massage therapist (Contact Gina at 815-256-2312 in advance to make arrangements).
	Have a discussion with Mark and Guia on sustainability, gardening, permaculture, cooking, beekeeping, or life in general.
	Fly one of our kites (or bring your own to fly).
	Watch a movie either in your room from our selection of movies, or on DishNetwork in the parlor.
	Take a swim (summer only).
	Take a look at one of our bee hives (at a distance)

	Enjoy the warmth of the woodstove (winter only).
	Ask us about Center for Sustainable Community - the non-profit organization in nearby Stelle with which we are affiliated.
	Learn from Mark how to use the HeartMath FreezeFramer.
	Make apple cider (fall only - call in advance to arrange)
	Swing on our rope swing.
	Watch a farm tractor or combine operate in the adjacent fields.
	Be entertained by the chickens and guinea hens.

Thank you so much for such a beautiful place to hold our engagement! We appreciate the special efforts that you went to create such a romantic & peaceful dinner setting for “the big question”. We loved Guia’s cooking! It was so incredibly perfect for us. This was the most romantic & peaceful place that I have ever been to. My new fiancé and I have created memories here that we’ll cherish for a lifetime. This is a wonderful place for prayer & meditation.

Here are some things you won't find at the Greenhouse Bed and Breakfast:

	Shopping mall.
	Street sounds.
	City lights (the nearest city is 25 miles).
	A nearby restaurant (but Guia will cook meals besides breakfast upon request).
	Traffic (except for occasional pickup trucks, tractors, and combines).
