THE ADVENTURES OF MAGOO
By Mark Hoffman
In August 2013 our friend Harry Carr, owner of Mint Creek Farm, brought us a premature baby goat. He was one of triplets, however only he had survived being born two weeks premature. The mother couldn't feed him because she had not yet developed milk. He was tiny, about the size of a grown squirrel, and needed to be bottle fed. Guia couldn't say 'no' to bottle feeding this cutie, so - unexpectedly, the Greenhouse Bed and Breakfast had adopted a baby goat. He was a voracious eater from the start and quite cuddly. Guia sent our daughter Christine his photo and Christine dubbed him 'Magoo'. The name stuck. Magoo is now back on the farm but during his B&B stay, he lived up to his name and general goat reputation, Magoo excels at (mis)adventures.....
